Traveling to the Ocean

As soon as I received a call from Uncle Leo, I was puzzled with the question what I could give him as a present. My father said that Uncle Leo was keen on riding and I bought him a wonderful book about horses. The book was full of pictures and detail descriptions. I hoped he would be very surprised. I was excited and probably seemed to look worried. My colleagues were ardently interested in my health and business. They even suggested that I should drink a cup of hot tea at the lunch. I was very grateful and told them about my coming trip to Portland. Our boss gave me a week's vacation and I was very happy. That time there were great changes in my office and some women were planning to leave it and work at home. Of course, it is much harder to check out the women who are home working but any way it was a chance for women to take care of themselves. Our office was set on a fire. It was something new and everyone wanted to share his joy with friends and relatives - all our telephones were busy with talks. It seemed to me that I was the only one who was not thinking of the changes because I was dreaming of Portland. It was Sunday when I began to pack my articles. The plane was to depart at three in the afternoon and I had enough time to gather my suitcases. 'The City of Roses', a nickname for Portland, was everything that I might dream at that very moment. Suddenly someone knocked on the door. I rushed outside and discovered a cat strolling helplessly around next to my house. What was it? Was it a joke or a green-eyed monster? One way or another I had to take the cat into the house and feed it with a little milk. The cat was soft and fluffy and I didn't want to throw it away from my house. I decided to leave a massage to my Mom. I asked her not to offend the cat and look after it properly. Then I called a taxi to take me to the airport and went off with my beating heart towards new adventures and meetings.
