Uncle Leo and his House

I didn't miss the plane, made a check in and headed to take a seat. I found it just at the window. The plane was overcrowded, as usual. There was much noise and laugh. Immediately I forgot about my boring office and began looking through the window. The airport freight handlers were loading our suitcases joking and smiling. Traveling promised to be exciting! The passengers fastened the belts and the plane took off. Very soon a picturesque view presented in front of me - white clouds like cotton horses, bears or hares were around out plane. It was terrific! I was engaged with the beauty of unusual clouds when the stewardess offered the lunch and drinks. After the lunch I opened the magazine that was in the pocket in front of me and started reading. By the way, I found an article about Portland and leaned many interesting things about this city. It appeared they have an amazing museum-garden with thousands sorts of roses in the city. I thought at once that I should go and see this miraculous place. Portland is situated in the Pacific Northwest just between two main rivers Willamette and Columbia. Traveling exactly improve my knowledge about this place in Oregon. Staying in my office I would never learn of such a marvelous spot on the earth. Uncle Leo picked me up with a luxurious car and we drove along the broad streets to his house. It was a special voyage when I could see all sightseeing about me and admire the beauty of Portland. It was definitely different from Chicago. The air was fresh and clean and there was no smoke in the sky. However, the house was beyond my words - it was such a beautiful building in nineteenth century style. The backyard was planted with unique trees and flowers - I even didn't know their names. And the walls of the house were decorated with ivy and it was so splendid that I couldn't stop screaming with a joy. A moment later a woman opened the door and saw me into the living room. She was Milady, my Uncle Leo's wife. Everything was breathing with comfort and hospitality in that house. She had cooked the dinner and soon we were invited to the table. Milady appeared to be a good-hearted woman with a pleasant voice and soft gestures. Be sure I didn't remember about my office - everything was relaxing and comforting. The next day my relatives promised to drive me around the ‘City of Roses' by all means.
